Donning the Gi

Donning the gi is a simple process that takes little effort. Be sure that everything is straight and even and unwrinkled. Be sure to check out

how to fold the gi when you're finished with practice.

Remember to make sure the gi that you're using is the correct size. Being too large could possibly inhibit your movement and be needlessly restricting. Having a gi that's too small can uncomfortably chafe your skin raw.

The gi should be moderately loose fitting. Gi do tend to shrink when washed, so its always a good idea to buy one size up from perfect.

Putting on the gi

1. Put on the gi like a jacket.
