Donning the hakama part II

Tuck the plastic flap, or hera, into the back end of the maehimo.

Take the back straps, or ushirohimo (literally back string) and bring them to the front.

Put one of the straps under the maehimo then tie into a square knot.

Loop the left over straps over and under the maehimo and the ushirohimo twice.

Tuck the remainder of the ushirohimo into the sides of the hakama.

Reach into the hakama and pull down the dogi making sure that everything is straight and wrinkle-free.

Make sure that the front of the hakama is lower than the rear.
